Ghajini to be Re-Shot
The hard-to-please superstar of Bollywood is reportedly unhappy with the way his upcoming film Ghajini has shaped up.Aamir Khan is at it again. The movie for which he all but shaved his head has not met his expectations. ‘Ghajini’, directed by A Murugadoss, is complete and the director reportedly held a special screening of the film recently for Aamir.
After watching the movie Aamir wasn’t very thrilled. His scrutinizing eyes singled out scenes which he believed needed to be re-shot. Respecting Aamir’s judgment, Murugadoss has reportedly decided to re-shoot some scenes. The only problem is that Aamir is presently shooting Raju Hirani’s film 3 Idiots in which he has a different hairstyle than that of ‘Ghajini’. So Aamir won’t be able to reshoot for ‘Ghajini’ until he wraps up ‘3 Idiots’, which means at least a month.
Aamir is a star whose opinion is respected by peers in the industry. Recently, directorSanjay Gadhvi showed Aamir his movie Kidnap to get his opinion. Aamir gave thumbs-up to the film.Though some industrywalas think Aamir crosses his line at times and interferes in a director’s work, most of the people who work with him. And after showing his prowess behind the camera in Taare Zameen Par , Aamir has only gained more respect in tinsel town.
Barbara is Threat to Suzanne Khan’s Conjugal Life.
Mexican actress Barbara Mori sizzling hot chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara in Anurag Basu Kites is worth watching. The Roshans may not be talking about their upcoming movie Kites, but the chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara promises to burn the screen.
The Bollywood heartthrob, is having the time of his life, shooting for “Kites” in exotic locales like Las Vegas, New Mexico and Los Angeles. But daddy Rakesh Roshan, the producer and now also the director of the movie, is having sweaty palms because of his son’s raunchy antics. Hrithik, hitherto known to be a perfect gentleman and a wonderful husband is reportedly giving in to the allure of co-actress Barbara Mori.
The stunning shooting locations are heaving a great effect on Hrithik’s mind, and heart as well.Hrithik is enjoying the umpteen “roll in the hay” scenes in the film with Barbara so much, that he is carrying off some of it off screen.
It is believed that Papa Rakesh Roshan was extremely upset with Hrithik’s attitude. News of Hrithik’s closeness with the hot actress was making the rounds in Mumbai too. Rakesh Roshan was annoyed by the development.
Bobby and Anurag are friends, besides being a great team. Anurag appreciates Bobby’s work and gives him a free hand. But Roshan had his own ideas of how the movie should look. He did not agree with Bobby’s style and would interfere in camera angles and light shot etc. Initially Bobby kept quiet as Rakesh is a senior filmmaker an creative differences happen on every set. But as the days went by, Bobby felt his work as a cinematographer was increasingly getting undermined”.
Rakesh had apparently told Bobby to do the shot from another angle But Bobby wanted to try a different angle. Rakesh was furious as Bobby had disregarded his instructions, and made his displeasure clear in front of the entire unit. Bobby felt so humiliated about this dressing down that he stormed off the sets and took a flight straight back to Mumbai.
Barbara, the on screen mistress is proving to be a potential threat to Suzanne Khan’s serene conjugal life. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan was also rumoured to be smitten by Kareena Kapoor. Hope Suzanne learns some moves from Hrithik’s on screen wife Kangana Ranaut in “Kites”, or she will lose the string over her hot dashing husband!

Sallu gift Katrina to Katrina
The bad boy of Bollywood Salman Khan rarely makes news for his sweet actions. But here is some food for thought. It is well know that he is an unprofessional painter and paints for pleasure. Salman feels happy in gifting his portraits to his dear ones and one person whom he gifts very often is his ladylove Katrina Kaif. But recently, to her surprise, Sallu has gifted Kat her own portrait and the lady is touched by his move. Before he left for 40 days shoot to UK for London Dreams, he invited Kat for a dinner at his home and gift-wrapped the portrait. When Kat unveiled the portrait at her home, she was overjoyed, Salman smiled at her lovingly and said, "It’s you."
In the past, Sallu has humiliated his beau in many ways but this is surely a way to win over his sweetheart.
Imraan Matches Minisha in an Underwater Sequence in Kidnap
Minissha Lamba is a water baby which is clear from the promos of Kidnap. But who would have thought Imran Khan would parallel his co-star while they were shooting for the film in Mauritius?
It seems Imran and Minissha have shot a chilling underwater sequence in the film, which is among the highlights of the film and also the point when she gets kidnapped. Both the actors rehearsed for the scene for almost a fortnight before taking the 'dive!
Confirms director Sanjay Gadhvi, "We trained in Mumbai in a pool. It was an elaborate shoot with a dedicated underwater DOP and a standby team of divers for rescue. I've used the same underwater specialists as the ones used in Dhoom:2. While shooting the scene I was on the boat watching the shot on the monitor, which was attached to the underwater camera by cables. We had special communication equipment through which Imran and Minissha could hear me say 'action' and 'cut' while they were underwater."
Seems like this is among the many chills and thrills Kidnap has to offer.
Kareena made her Birthday Unique and Special
On the eve of Kareena's 28th birthday, her mom Babita suggested that she should make it really special. Not only did she have Saif accompanying her in the cold climates of north India, but she also got the opportunity to share her birthday with the numerous Jawans who were present at Kargil. Both Kareena and Saif really enjoyed and felt privileged to have spent time in the midst of these brave soldiers, who defend our country. On asking Kareena, she said, "As we were passing by Kargil one day prior to my birthday, mom told me to visit the Jawans as it would be a unique experience and a once in a lifet
ime opportunity to get their blessings as well. Both Saif and I were excited as well as amazed with the way the soldiers live in such extreme climates and still manage to keep calm under pressure, which gives us an immense sense of pride. We wish them luck and not just them but all the soldiers of our country and wish to thank them for all that they have sacrificed and done for us - the people." Friday, September 26, 2008

Shamita Singha spices herself for PETA

There are one million ads in the newspapers these days with those girls going semi nude with handsome dudes screaming about 'Spicing up life'. The best way to 'Spice up your life' is to go vegetarian! And seconding that will be none other than the gorgeous model Shamita Singha, who has recently shot for the new pro-vegetarian PETA ad.
The resultant of the ad was something that really lives up to the saying of 'Spice up your life'. If she was not 'hot' enough, she lies amidst a pool of red hot chillies 'covering' her up!
Shamita said, "I turned vegetarian when I was quite young because I realized that if I really loved animals, I could not eat them. And that meat is not healthy and not good for your body." And for those who wondered about the secret of her oh-so-sexy figure, here is what she had to say, "I am a vegetarian, and so I eat a lot of veggies, salads and fruits, and those foods are alive, so I am alive! And in terms of working out, I get all my energy from veggies and fresh stuff."
Just in case Shamita's message of spicing up your life does not reach the target audience, then, the adjoining snap will ensure it does.

Shamita Shetty’s greatest passion
Shamita Shetty might be busy exploring her new role as one of the Board of Directors in S2, but her greatest passion is and will always remain acting.
Taking about her new role Shamita said, “Right now I am taking a backseat and seeing how work is done. Production is very new for me. Shilpa has been in the industry for about 15 years. She obviously knows much more than I do. I am just observing and learning how things are done now. That is what I am doing for our first film.”
Shamita has done very few films in her acting career which started with the much talked about film Mohabbatein in 2000. So does the pretty girl have any regrets? “I wish better work came my way. I wish in my eight years I had done more films. But I think everything happens because of destiny. This is how it was meant for me. So I am okay with it.”
For all the fans that are dying to see her on silver screen, Shamita will be seen in a promotional video for the film Hari Puttar- A Comedy of Terrors .

The week gone by witnessed much glamour with an array of Bollywood stars and beauty queens scorching the ramp for 11 of the country's top designers in a celebration of luxe and opulence at HDIL's India Couture Week 2008 fashion show. This was India's first ever 'couture week', a complete star–studded affair.
And the show–stealers of this 6–day gala event were none other than the dazzling Bollywood beauties like Karishma Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa Shetty, Neha Dhupia. Each of these pretty lasses displayed the spectacular designs by the topmost designers of India. The couture week kick started with Ritu Kumar's collections displayed by Priyanka Chopra, Neha Dhupia, Riya and Raima Sen, etc. followed by Karisma Kapoor's elegant look created by designer Manav Gangwani. While Day 4 of couture week saw proud pa Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam Kapoor showcasing lovely collections of Designer Anamika Khanna than day 5 was arrested by the sultry siren Shilpa Shetty, who sizzled the ramp (with impeccable Indian bride attire trimming it with a bride's coy smile) in Tarun Tahiliani's chic collections.
All these divine goddesses looked stunningly beautiful in their attires. And it becomes quite unfair to compare these beauty icons.
Who grabbed maximum eye balls!
Who looked the best in the entire Couture Week!
Darsheel to be seen spreading the Child Magic in Priyadarhan's Next
Multilingual director Priyadarshan says his Hindi adaptation of acclaimed Iranian film 'Children Of Heaven', which has Darsheel Safary in the lead role, has been set in the backdrop of militancy in Assam."I am not blindly adapting the Iranian film 'Children Of Heaven'. I am moving completely away from the original material to set the story in Assam with the insurgency as the backdrop.I saw the Iranian film and its Singaporean version 'Home Run'. I'm not following Majidi's screenplay from the Iranian film at all. I'm only retaining the core of the original. I'm Indianising the screenplay completely, changing and adding more characters," says Priyadarshan.

Akshay is the King of Bollywood
The Amul hoardings recently seen across town, created quite a few murmurs in the film industry. The hoardings projected Akshay Kumar as the number one hero, while the two Khans - Shah Rukh and Aamir - are shown handing out buttered toasts to Akshay with the tagline saying, ‘Singh is King’. Apparently, this running down of their numero uno position has not gone down well with SRK and Aamir.
When Mr.Rahul DaCunha, head honcho of DaCunha Associates, was asked about the concept of this particular ad. He said, “For the moment at least, after the release of Sinngh is King, Akshay was considered to be the number one and people too have accepted him as the number one hero. Even the newspapers clearly declared him as the number one hero, it’s not as though it’s our take entirely.”
But it’s true that there have been rumblings in the industry questioning the concept. But audiences take such ad campaigns more like a joke. People have to be sporting enough to laugh off these matters.”
Kat-SRK in Yash Raj's Next
Katrina Kaif seems to be riding the crest of a bright new wave of success. The things have been happening to her career within just a matter of time, sometimes surrounding like a fairytale coming true. She has given six blockbusters back to back in the recent times and as a result she has been signing some of the very best films. The actress seems to have her kitty full of projects and directors and actors are just dying to work with her.
Kareena finally gets her wish on the B’Day
Actress Kareena kapoor's dreams all seem to be coming true. She had always wanted to act opposite Aamir Khan. The actress is a big fan of the Khan and has watched several of his films many times over. Therefore working with him Raj Kumar Hirani's 3 Idiots is literally like a dream come true for her
The actress, who stands on the threshold of her 27th birthday, is currently in Ladakh, shooting with Aamir for the movie. This film, she is reported to have said, is the best gift that she could have received. The actress moves on from Ladakh to Venice, where she is shooting for Kamabkht Ishq.
The actress could not have had things better. After Jab We Met, she is not only recognized as a glamour queen but also as an actress of repute. It is quite an enviable fear, which not many heroines can hope to accomplish. The bag of films that the actress has besides 3 Idiots and Kambakht Ishq are Mr Aur Mrs Khanna, Karan Johar's Next and Agent Vinod for Saif's production house. She is on a roll and we wish her a lot of success and love in the year ahead.

Preity goes to School
Acting wise, the pretty Preity Zinta may not exactly be a (late) Smita Patil or a Konkona Sen Sharma, but she has proved her histrionic capabilities with films like SANGHARSH (1999), KYA KEHNA (2000), VEER ZAARA (2004) and recently in Rituparno Ghosh's THE LAST LEAR. But that does not stop Preity from honing her acting skills further as proved by the preparations she has put in for her role in Samir Karnik's upcoming Diwali release, HEROES.
Preity plays a widow in HEROES and the role required her to speak with an almost perfect Punjabi accent. Now Preity is from Shimla and educated at a public school there and so despite knowing Punjabi she was not fluent in the language. So she went to a top acting school and got herself trained and tutored for the same. The results are there for all to see in the promos of HEROES, where Preity looks every inch a part of the character.
Minisha Lucky to be Alive
Minissha Lamba's much talked about KIDNAP saw the actress push frontiers as far as her previous box–office outings are concerned. And we aren't just talking about her new bikini–licious body!
Everyone knows that Minissha has quite an adventurous streak in her and is quite a water baby. The schedule of KIDNAP in Mauritius involved scenes where she was required to take a dip in the sea. During one such shot, so engrossed was Minissha in her mid–sea swim that she did not realize that the currents had pushed her far from where she was supposed to be.
The film's cameraman was the first to realize that she was nowhere in the frame! The crew panicked as the underwater currents had pushed her about 2 kilometers away from the coastline while Minissha was blissfully unaware of the situation. It took the crew ten minutes to finally spot the petite actress, much to everyone's relief. A speedboat was sent to retrieve her immediately!
Director Sanjay Gadhvi confirmed the news. ''It was scary to say the least but all's well that ends well!'' he remarked.
KIDNAP is this year's grand Id attraction, being relased worldwide by Indian Films – Studio 18 on Wednesday October 1st. It is Sanjay Dutt's first release of 2008 and new–age heartthrob Imran Khan's first release after his maiden smash hit, JAANE TU YA JAANE NA.
